Recall Details
This recall involves two models of torch handles that were sold under the Lincoln Electric® and Harris Products Group® brand names. The torch handles are used in welding. They are gold in color and made out of brass. Welding torch model numbers include 18-5 and 85. Manufacture date codes include FM, GA, GB and GC. The model number and date code are stamped on the torch handle at the end closest to the flame. The torch handles were sold individually and also as part of the following kits. Units with "0" above the word "Harris" and to the right of the rivet head are not included in this recall.

The power cord can partially detach from the heater enclosure, which can lead to cord damage over time, posing electric shock and fire hazards.
The smoke alarms can malfunction and fail to alert consumers of a fire, posing a risk of smoke inhalation or death. Smoke sensitivity tests performed on the alarms by CPSC found that one of the detectors that was tested failed to alert when exposed to pre-determined concentrations of smoke.
The mechanical internal locking plates can fail to align and allow unauthorized users to open the gun safes, posing a serious injury hazard and risk of death.
After alerting consumers to the presence of natural gas or carbon monoxide, the recalled alarm can go into sleep mode when the alert lasts less than four minutes. The smart electric space heaters can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Testing determined the smart electric space heaters do not comply with the voluntary industry safety standard, UL 1278, posing an overheating and fire risk from wireless control features.
The crimp holding a wire in place in the cabinet heater is not properly finished and can result in the wire detaching, posing an electrocution hazard.

Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product-related incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products has contributed to a decline in the rate of injuries associated with consumer products over the past 50 years.
