Recall Details
This recall involves eight styles of one-piece, footed cotton clothing for infants made by Carter's. They have a zipper from the foot to the neck and were sold in sizes newborn, 3, 6 and 9 months. Baby B'gosh®, Child of Mine® made by Carter's or Just One You® made by Carter's is printed on the fabric inside the neck area. The style number is printed on a side seam label.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled clothing away from infants and return it to Carter's for a full refund.

The recalled baby loungers violate the federal safety regulations for Infant Sleep Products because the sleeping pad is too thick, posing a suffocation hazard; an infant could fall out of an enclosed opening at the sides of the lounger or become entrapped; and the sides are too low to contain the infant and the loungers do not have a stand, posing a fall hazard. These violations create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants.

The red tape on the bowling pin sipper cups contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

The drawstring in the hood of the recalled jackets can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children due to the strangulation hazard. The jackets are in violation of the federal regulations for children’s upper outerwear and present a substantial product hazard.
