Description:

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Gamewell-FCI, of Northford, Conn., is voluntarily recalling about 700 Gamewell-FCI Electronic Control Boards by Honeywell. Incoming and outgoing messages to and from the control board can interfere with each other, preventing it from sending a message to the command center in the event of fire.

Incidents/Injuries: Gamewell-FCI has received one report of failed communications during an electrical short that was not due to a fire. There have been no reports of property damage or injury.

Description: The software upgrade involves Gamewell-FCI model ILI-MB-E3 and ILI-S-E3 loop control boards. These boards are components of the Gamewell-FCI E3 Series fire alarm system. They provide the signaling line circuits and display information for the system.

Sold through: Authorized distributors nationwide from October 2005 through September 2006. Authorized distributors resell and install loop control boards for commercial end users in facilities such as hotels and office buildings.
