CPSC Import Shipment Tracking Tool

Welcome to CPSC's shipment tracking tool.

This tool will allow you to check the status of your shipment using your entry number with your filer code included and entry line number (optional). Please remove all hyphens from your entry number to track the shipment. Using this tool will allow you to see your shipment's status and the remaining time left for CPSC to review the shipment.

Important Information

Shipment Tracking Hours:

  • CPSC reviews data during business hours only. CPSC does not review data after the working hours of staff at the port, over weekends, or on Federal holidays.
  • The dates and times provided in the shipment tracking tool are in U.S. Eastern Time, automatically adjusting for daylight savings time.

Understanding the Shipment Tracker:

  • Entry line numbers include the CBP versioning digit. For example, an entry line of 1-1 will read as 11 in the tracking tool.

Final Disposition:

  • Shipment tracking statuses are not official CPSC or U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) releases. Please consult your broker or ABI messaging for official release information.

On Hold for CPSC Examination and Evaluation:

  • For shipments that are subject to enforcement action after detention, CPSC's Shipment Tracking Tool will only display "On Hold for CPSC Examination and Evaluation."
  • If your shipments status is "On Hold for CPSC Examination and Evaluation", please wait 2 to 3 weeks for the shipment to physically arrive and be presented for exam. CPSC staff will contact you on disposition of your shipment after the exam, or if any additional information is needed to complete the exam.
  • For exam site information, brokers can choose their exam site through Exam Centralized Examination Station (CES). If you do not conduct business through EXAM CES, you will have to email the local CBP staff and choose an exam site.

Notice of Sampling and Detention:

  • Typically, CPSC will make admissibility decisions on products within 45 to 60 calendar days of issuance of the Notice of Sampling and Detention.
  • If your entry is subject to sampling, you will receive a Notice of Sampling and Detention by CPSC. CPSC staff may contact you for additional information.
