Good Accounting Obligation In Government (GAO-IG) Act Reports
The GAO-IG Act requires each federal agency, in its annual budget justification, to include a report on each public recommendation of the Government Accountability Office and the agency’s Office of Inspector General that is designated open for a period of at least one year preceding the date on which the budget justification is submitted and the implementation status of each such recommendation.
Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
CPSC ensures the privacy and confidentiality of the information we collect on members of the public, business partners and our employees. We collect, maintain, use and disseminate identifiable personal information only as authorized by law and as necessary to carry out agency responsibilities. CPSC staff has created PIAs for computer systems and applications to identify and mitigate any risks these systems may pose to personally identifiable information.
