I applaud Target, along with IKEA, for their tremendous, life-saving corporate leadership. I know other leading retailers, such as Wal-Mart, Lowe's and Home Depot, can also bring a positive change to the marketplace and protect children from being strangled to death by accessible window covering cords. I look forward to similar announcements from the retail community. By offering consumers only cordless window coverings, or those with inaccessible cords, retailers will save children's lives, and their parents can have more peace of mind.
