This recall involves all soft vinyl awning covers used with SunSetter® Motorized, Motorized XL, Motorized PRO, Motorized PROXL, and Oasis Freestanding Motorized Retractable Awnings distributed by SunSetter from June 1999 to January 2019 and supplied with bungee tie-downs. Covers for manually operated awnings are not affected by this recall.

 
Remedy:

Consumers should not attempt to install covers for the motorized awnings or remove any installed covers until they have received instructions from SunSetter. Consumers should contact SunSetter for free breakaway safety clips (that replace the bungee tie-downs provided with the cover) and instructions for their use, and instructions on how to safely remove any installed bungee tie-downs (available at https://www.sunsetter.com/safety). SunSetter is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Incidents/Injuries:

The Firm has received 14 reports of incidents, including one report of a death and six reports of injuries. In one reported incident, a 73-year-old man died after falling from a ladder and over a balcony when a motorized awning opened unexpectedly and struck him while he was removing the cover’s bungee tie-downs.

This recall involves the Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe Bassinet/Rocker with model number BT055CSY and the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinet/Rocker with model number BT071DHS. The model numbers are located on a label on the underneath side of the fabric of the inclined sleeper pad. The inclined sleepers are rectangular shaped with a soft bottom, cushioned fabric, stand approximately two feet off the floor and are designed for sleeping or napping infants from birth to six months of age. The Eddie Bauer Slumber and Sooth Bassinet/Rocker is beige. The Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinet/Rocker is purple.

This recall involves a set of matching baby socks and wristband which contain a small rattle sewn inside the wristband and the toe of each sock. The sets were sold in various colors and styles, including strawberry, ladybug, animals and sports themes. The product is labeled for ages 0-6 months. This recall involves model year 2013 through 2016 Cannondale CAADX Cyclocross bicycles equipped with disc brakes. Cyclocross racing combines both off-road and on-road cycling. The bicycles were sold in a variety of colors and configurations. Consumers should inspect their bicycle to determine if it is affected by this recall by confirming:

(1) The bicycle has a prominent CAADX marking on the top tube or other location.

(2) The bicycle has disc brakes.

(3) The inside of the fork leg has a large “ULTRAX” marking.

(4) The cable running to the front disc brake is outside of the fork, as opposed to inside the fork.

For assistance determining if a bicycle is affected, consumers should bring it to a Cannondale authorized dealer.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycle and take it to the nearest authorized Cannondale dealer for a free repair.  Cannondale dealers will replace, free of cost, the bicycle’s fork with a full carbon fiber replacement fork.

Cycling Sports Group has received reports of 11 incidents worldwide of the bicycle’s fork breaking, including five in the United States. Seven of these incidents resulted in serious injuries, including concussions and a spinal injury, and there was one fatality.
