As mentioned previously, NEISS has recently been expanded to collect information about all injuries, not just product related injuries. However, not every hospital in the program collects this data and that affects how the coder will select cases for inclusion into NEISS. Therefore, we have provided two training paths, one for hospitals in the NEISS All Injury program and one for hospitals in the standard NEISS program.
