CPSC Public Hearing: Unblockable Drains (Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
The Commission conducted a public hearing to receive views from all interested parties about the draft guidance for industry entitled “July 2009 Staff Draft Technical Guidance on Unblockable Drains.” The guidance specifies requirement for a drain cover, such that, when attached to a drain, it constitutes an unblockable drain.

CPSC Staff Roundtable: Cribs and Other Sleeping Environments for Infants, Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET, CPSC Headquarters, Hearing Room
The purpose of the roundtable is to consult with interested stakeholders as dictated in section 104 of the CPSIA and to solicit input regarding the adequacy of the current voluntary and mandatory standards. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to briefly present relevant information, ideas, proposals, or concerns about current or future standards as they relate to the infant sleep environment.
CPSC Public Meeting: Phthalates, Thursday, March 12, 2009, 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET, CPSC Headquarters, Hearing Room
The meeting is to discuss the requirements of section 108 of the CPSIA--Prohibition on the Sale of Certain Products Containing Specified Phthalates. Topics will include the requirements of section 108, scope of products subject to section 108, and phthalates test procedure.
